Last Race Overview
In reviewing her race from last Tuesday, it was another honest performance. There was no speed on paper and Alana was able to control the race from the top at a slow tempo, 10.6lengths below all average benchmark to the 600m, at which point she picked the speed up with the 4th best 600 - 400 in the race, building her revs before the corner.
In the straight Dora maintained a good gallop, just peaking on her run in the last 50m as the chasers got over the top. Overall, we were happy with her performance and factoring in she had a tough run at Caulfield Heath and was empty late at Ararat, we felt a quick freshen up at HSP was a wise move to fill her up in condition and ensure she is feeling bright.
